My home is special because of my family. When I fight with my brothers, when I play with my little sisters, when I listen to my parents and when I have fun with my grandma. I like my family, and I love them very much. I never want them replaced, ever!

What my home means to me is having great parents who love me so much and understand my feelings. My parents are people who are really caring and loving. My Mom has short dark red hair, brown eyes and rosey cheeks. My Dad has blue eyes, strong arms and a big scar on his knee. My favorite thing t do with my parents is to go to the space Needle and go on walks. I don’t like to share my parent with other people but I know I have to. I hope you have learned a lot about my parents and how sweet they really are!!

Second Prize Winner - Emily F. (Mr. Steven's class)

What my home means to me is spending time with my family and getting comfort from them. My favorite part of my home is the living room. We do a lot of stuff there together a lot of laughing, too! We also play games there like Uno and Mancala. Another thing I really appreciate about my living room is the comfy chairs. They make your feel like you are sinking into something, or sitting on a marshmallow. My absolute favorite part about being in the living room is smelling the food that my Mom makes. It smells divine and you can’t stop craving what you smell. I love my living room.

Second Prize Winner - Jack D. (Mr. Steven's class)

My Home is special to me because it is there whenever I need it. My most favorite part of my home is my back yard. Whenever I go there my imagination kicks in. The tall grass of spring reminds me of the jungle. In the distance I see a black leopard, but it is only my dog Jake. When summer starts the pool comes out. I dive into the deep. I find several new kids of fish. When the cool wind of fall makes the colorful leaves of the trees fall. When a winter storm rolls in, my house is there, warm and cozy. That’s where family is. That’s why I love my home

Third Prize Winner - Nicole A. (Mrs. Burke's class)

Do you like peace and quiet? Then you should really like my home. My dream home would be a quiet little cabin with a stream that leads to a magical paradise. My home would be painted blue and it’s a good place to play games! The steam leads through a garden and the garden is magical. It can grow any fruit on earth plus un-discovered produce. That’s why I love my home. Maybe some day you can visit my paradise dream home?

Third Prize Winner - Megan K. (Mrs. Green's class)

Have you dreamed of your dream house? I have. My dream house would be in the woods by a little creek. The creek would run through a beautiful garden. The garden would be filled with daisies, daffodils, sunflowers, poppies, tulips, and iris too. The house would be made out of logs. It would be a warm and cozy place. The cabin would have 9 rooms. The rooms would be w bathrooms, 2 bedrooms, a kitchen, a sun room, a living room, a rec room and a dining room. So if you ever fell like have a little bit of paradise, swing by, come in and relax.

What my home means to me is having a cool bed room. In my room I like playing legos and my legos welcome me in my magical room. My room is like a swirling breeze in the sun. It has a lot of brown and white on the walls, with a nice bed but sometimes it gives me cramps. I play with my magical legos in my magical worlds. Only my Mom and Dad and my best friends can come in. My cozy bedroom with my legos is fun and all but building is awesome. I make cool machines which is the best part of all. The things that you can make can hae all kinds of possibilities. Maybe you can even make a dragon or a sixty foot Statue of Liberty.
